Claudia's knowledge is deeply rooted in medical and nutritional science as well as cutting edge pharmacology and drug discovery, which puts her into a class of her own. Her immense knowledge of natural precursors (medicinal plant science) to conventional drugs and the effects on those on the human body allows her, in her capacity as a phytomedical practitioner (practitioner of plant based medicine), to dispense and prescribe customised phytomedcines to her patients if required and appropriate.

As a conventional pharmacologist she is also able to advise patients of potential interactions between plant based and allopathic medicines and on the side-effect of conventional medicines alone, which makes Claudia a unique practitioner in her field, who is able to cross over and bring together the boundaries of natural and conventional medication to the benefit of her patients.
Years of scientific laboratory practice in academia and medical research, as well a years of experience in clinical practice and diagnostic skills, are reflected in her cutting edge practice and make her a leading practitioner of nutritional and phytomedical science.

Claudia uses the latest diagnostic tools and laboratory tests to understand fully the health status of each patient prior customising a diet and uses the same tools to monitor and support each patient throughout the diet. Claudia is very happy and accustomed to communicate with the patients' GP or health-specialist if this is required.

Claudia's scientific expertise is much in demand as the many articles in national daily newspapers and magazines can testify in the PR section on our website. Claudia featured also as the chosen nutritionist on the BBC programme the 'Supersizers'.

The future of skincare
Mission – A natural alternative to a dermatologist – we were not sure if there was anyone out there who would fit the bill.

Our find
– We visit the wonderful Claudia Louch at her new Phytoclinic in Notting Hill.

We tested
– Her full 1 hour skin consultation which is a super duper MOT for the skin. She asks about lifestyle, diet and health niggles to get a true picture of why our skin looks, feels and acts like it does. She also uses a variety of James Bondesque gadgets to analyse the surface of the skin and check other areas of the body which might be the cause of some of our skin ailments.

The result
– On leaving I had a greater understanding of nutrition and the skin. I discovered that the skin on my face is severely damaged by all of those sun drenched summers when I was a child. My body is way to alkaline (due to my constant juicing) and I may be over doing the supplements. Best bit – That all my skin niggles can be helped. She is blending me up some tinctures of herbal remedies to help with my PCOS and she is also making me some skincare for my sun damage – all of which I can’t wait to try out.  Star buy – Ask about her customised skincare - does it get any better than this?

Best for – People who really seriously want to address their skin problems. This is an approach to skincare that really works and is completely customised. You also get to ask all sorts of questions you had about your skin that few people could answer and your GP does not have the time or the energy for.

The clinic was founded in 2005 when Claudia decided to "go public" with her knowledge of cutting edge science, which ranges from conventional pharmacology and drug discovery to clinical nutrition and plant based medicine.

The response was immediately overwhelming. Starting initially from small premises in Chelsea, she runs now her own clinic in London's fashionable Mayfair.

Claudia contributes also to many national newpapers and magazines and has recently appeared on BBC2. Claudia's patients come from all over the world to her London Clinics to seek treatment for skin conditions and cosmetic skincare alike. Claudia's unique, highly specialised, customised approach has a huge following due to her success in treating almost every skin problem.
