Pioneers in Natural Science Based Dermatology
through customised in-house prescription formulation!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why the Natural Dermatology Clinic? - Our approach is 100% natural, yet science based, hence we do not use any conventional
internal or external prescription or over the counter remedies
- We believe in an ‘Inside/Outside'
Approach, which means, that we assess each patient individually through our modern and cutting
edge tests which include:
- Physical Examination
- Anthropometrics
- Full Skin Analysis with our cutting edge Skin Analyser
software
- Dermatoscopy
- Blood pressure
- Comprehensive and automated urine test
- Blood oxygen and pulse
- If necessary laboratory testing (hundreds or biochemical, haematological, genetic, immunological/allergy,
microbiological, skin, urine and stool tests are available through our London partner laboratory).
- Once your diagnosis and possible underlying cause of your condition has been established, each patient is
treated individually.
- We have our own in-house pharmacy who tailor makes prescriptions
for all our patients
- This means that every patient receives his/her own individual and
customised formulation
- All prescriptions are phytomedical prescriptions, which means
they are 100% plant based
- As your prescription is customised, each formulation can be
changed at request of the patient or if we deem it would benefit your condition
- All prescriptions
are preservative-free and completely plant based
- We do not look only at your apparent
condition, but assess your overall health, as we work from the inside out; if we feel that your health needs to be improved,
for example your diet needs adjusting, we will take this into account and tie this into your management plan.
What is the difference to over the counter natural external and / or internal remedies? - Claudia Louch is not only a phytomedical practitioner, human nutritionist and skin specialist, but also a
pharmacologist and conventional drug discoverer, with vast experience in the drug discovery and drug formulation process.
Hence, each prescription is finely tuned and calibrated in strength and ingredients to your exacting requirements, which can
be modified at any stage. Also, prescriptions are 100% plant based and preservative free and individually formulated for each
patient. Everyone received his or her own bespoke formulation. Many compounds, as well as strength of ingredients we use are
not commercially available, but only obtainable as prescription medication after a consultation with Claudia Louch.
How often do I have to book a follow-up appointment before I see improvements? - Conditions differ greatly, and have different effects on the human body.
- Each
person's immune system reacts also in a different way to the condition; each person reacts differently to medication depending
on his/her genetic make-up, medication tolerance, underlying conditions, and ultimately treatment depends on the severity
and status (chronic/acute) of the condition. All this differs from person to person and needs to be taken individually into
account. Therefore there is no rule of thumb, which we can apply. Claudia Louch will discuss with you your internal and external
treatment plan, after a first assessment. It is then up to you if you wish to pursue the full treatment plan.
What does a prescription and/or laboratory test cost?
As
all products are individually formulated by our own in-house pharmacy for each patient, the cost of the prescription depends
very much on each patient's condition and severity of the latter, which will be assessed by Claudia Louch during the first
appointment. As ingredients and strengths of the plant based ingredients vary greatly from patient to patient and prescription
to prescription, it is impossible to determine before a first assessment what exactly may be required. Similarly for laboratory
testing: there is no standard approach we adopt, as each patient is assessed individually. Once you have been assessed by
Claudia Louch, she will discuss with you her internal and external management plan; then it is up to you if you wish to pursue
the plan or not.
