I
have obtained a BSc Honours degree in Phytomedicine and I am a full member of the College
of
Practitioners
of
Phytotherapy (CPP).
My research project for this degree focused on the use of the
plant-based medication ‘Digitalis’
(Foxglove) in patients with chronic heart disease. Consequently,
I won a bursary/studentship at King's College London, Department of
Pharmacology & Therapeutics,
for
a Masters Degree in Drug
Discovery (Pharmacology). I
undertook my Masters
Project at major UK based Medicines
Research Company, during which I was part of a team of scientists
who investigated the mechanisms of Rheumatoid arthritis and
designed a new drug for the condition, which is still in clinical
trials. I
continued my postgraduate research (MSc Nutrition) at King's
College London
at the Department of
Nutrition and Dietetics. My research project focused on the
effect of Glycyrrhiza glabra
(Liquorice root) on patients with chronic hepatitis C.
I am also a member of the prestigious UK Nutrition Society and apart from running three busy clinics in central London I am continuing to be involved in research at the division of Medicine and University College London. My research focuses on Clinical Nutrition and Public Health. I
support and treats patients with clinical
nutrition and customised plant-based formulations (Phytomedicine) for
the following acute and chronic conditions:
I also offer a range of comprehensive and scientifically validated laboratory blood tests for all conditions, as well as allergy, skin-condition and stool tests.
